Honoring the Past

A touching moment during the celebration was Bishop Peter Kihara receiving a gift from the family of the late Bishop Ambrose Ravasi, one of the pioneers of the Diocese of Marsabit. This gesture symbolized the gratitude and reverence for the foundations laid by early missionaries and leaders who envisioned a thriving Church in Marsabit.

Environmental Stewardship

As part of the jubilee celebrations, the bishops and attendees engaged in a symbolic tree-planting ceremony outside the Marsabit Secretariat. This act served as a testament to the Church’s dedication to environmental care and sustainability, aligning spiritual growth with ecological responsibility.

This jubilee not only celebrates six decades of milestones but also looks toward the future. The Church in Marsabit is committed to continuing its role as a beacon of hope, promoting education, peace, and development while addressing emerging challenges.
