CATHOLIC WOMEN ASSOCIATION (CWA)

Women of Faith, Strength & Compassion

The Catholic Women Association (CWA) is one of the strongest pillars of parish life within the Diocese.

Women in Marsabit communities carry deep cultural influence as mothers, educators, peacemakers, and custodians of tradition. The CWA nurtures this strength within the light of the Gospel.

Our Mission

CWA promotes:

  • Deep spiritual growth through prayer
  • Support for marriage and family life
  • Catechesis and faith formation
  • Care for the sick, widows, and vulnerable
  • Peacebuilding within families and communities

Empowerment & Formation

The Diocese supports women through:

  • Leadership and empowerment workshops
  • Marriage enrichment programs
  • Income-generating initiative training
  • Advocacy for dignity and protection of women and girls

In areas where cultural expectations may limit opportunities, the Church walks with women to affirm their God-given dignity and leadership.

Mothers of Faith

CWA members:

  • Prepare liturgical celebrations
  • Support parish development
  • Mentor young girls
  • Promote Christian values within extended families

Their presence ensures that compassion, hospitality, and resilience remain central to the Church’s mission.
