Radio Jangwani is a community radio station situated in Marsabit County broadcasting from Marsabit town. It is the brain child of the bishop of catholic diocese of Marsabit, Rt. Rev. Peter Kihara. Bishop Cavallera Pastoral Centre

The Catholic Pastoral Centre in Marsabit stands as a serene haven of faith, reflection, and service, deeply rooted in the legacy of Bishop Charles Maria Cavallera, the first bishop of the Diocese of Marsabit. Maria Mfariji Shrine

Maria Mfariji Shrine is a renowned Catholic pilgrimage and spiritual centre of the Diocese of Marsabit, inaugurated in the early 2000s and set in the serene highlands of northern Kenya. Located on a hill overlooking Mount Marsabit, the shrine serves as a sacred “House of Prayer” and a place of deep reflection, popularly described as a Safari ya imani na ya upendo—a journey of faith and love. It is a focal point for diocesan life, hosting Holy Masses, large pilgrimages, pastoral gatherings, and special liturgical celebrations throughout the year. The shrine also holds historical and spiritual significance as the final resting place of distinguished shepherds of the Diocese, including Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev. Ambrose Ravasi, who was laid to rest there in November 2020. Built with the generous support of benefactors and inaugurated with the laying of its cornerstone in 2002, Maria Mfariji Shrine stands as a lasting testament to the missionary legacy of the Consolata Missionaries and their enduring contribution to the growth and faith life of the Diocese of Marsabit.
St. Antony of Padua – Sololo Mission Hospital

The hospital was established in the 1950s as a dispensary attached to the Sololo Mission, through the initiative of the then Bishop of Marsabit, Monsignor Cavallera di Centallo (1909–1990).
Today, the hospital has approximately 70 beds, one surgeon, and about thirty staff members, all of whom are local.
The facility is divided into several buildings. The first (OPD) includes reception, outpatient clinics, the analysis laboratory, and the pharmaceutical dispensary.
This is followed by the maternity ward, which includes an operating theatre, an X-ray room, and an ultrasound room.
There are also administrative offices, a General Ward (surgery, pediatrics, and physiotherapy), the kitchen and laundry, the pharmacy, and the isolation ward.

Laisamis Mission Hospital

Laisamis Catholic Health Facility is a faith-based primary care hospital located in Laisamis Ward, Marsabit County, along the Isiolo–Moyale Highway. Established on 17 March 2016 after a long approval process that began in 2009, the facility is owned by the Diocese of Marsabit through the Catholic Secretariat and operates under the Catholic Church’s mission of compassionate healthcare. Classified as a Level 4 health facility, it offers essential primary healthcare services and remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends. The facility actively reports through the Kenya Health Information System (KHIS) and serves the surrounding pastoralist communities, working closely with the Laisamis Community Health Unit to strengthen preventive and community-based health services. Though it currently has no inpatient bed capacity, the facility provides critical outpatient and maternal-child health support, playing a vital role in improving access to healthcare in this remote and underserved region of Marsabit County.
Drib Gombo- Dispensery
A community-level health facility located in Dirib Gombo, Marsabit County (Saku Sub-County). It is classified as a dispensary, meaning it offers basic primary healthcare services such as outpatient consultations, first aid, immunizations, maternal and child health services, and treatment of common illnesses. This dispensary is owned and managed by the Kenya Episcopal Conference – Catholic Secretariat, reflecting faith-based involvement in healthcare delivery in rural areas.
Moyale Dispensery
These dispensaries provide basic medical services such as outpatient care, immunizations, antenatal clinics, and community health outreach, bridging access to healthcare for populations living in a border town setting.
Loiyangalani Dispensary
This facility is part of Kenya’s network of dispensaries aimed at increasing access to first-line healthcare in remote towns along Lake Turkana’s southern shore.
