The Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) is the official missionary arm of the Catholic Church worldwide. Established to promote missionary awareness and support evangelization efforts, PMS operates under the Holy Father through the Dicastery for Evangelization in Rome.

What Are the Pontifical Mission Societies?
The Pontifical Mission Societies are four global missionary societies working together to support the Church’s evangelizing mission:
1. Society for the Propagation of the Faith
Supports young and developing Churches through prayer and financial assistance for pastoral programs, catechesis, and evangelization.
2. Missionary Childhood (Holy Childhood Association)
Encourages children to pray for and support fellow children in mission territories worldwide.
3. Society of St. Peter the Apostle
Promotes priestly and religious vocations while supporting the formation of seminarians and novices in mission dioceses.
4. Missionary Union of Priests and Religious
Deepens missionary spirituality among clergy, religious, and pastoral agents.
